Anandadhara Welfare Society was formed by a handful of passionate Bengali families to uphold the rich tapestry of Bengali traditions and culture. In its 4th year of operation, AWS has been not only organizing Puja ceremonies, but have also curated diverse cultural events and social gatherings throughout the year. Their efforts not only binds the community together but helps pass on the rich bengali heritage and culture to the next generation.
The cooperation, teamwork and camaraderie of all core members make AWS not only a society but a large family where everyone shares their success, happiness, problems and sorrows in equal measure. To uphold the spirit of India, AWS also welcomes non bengali communities to come, join and celebrate the events and activities which takes place throughout the year with zeal and fervour.
Kali Puja / Shyama Puja
Kali Puja or Shyama Puja is celebrated by Hindus on the new moon day during Diwali. This festival is dedicated to the Goddess Kali. The puja is performed to eradicate all negative energies and to welcome prosperity.
The celebration aims to foster community spirit and preserve our rich heritage while providing an inclusive space for everyone to participate and enjoy. We offer various levels of sponsorship to cater to different interests and capacities. Each level provides unique opportunities to showcase your support and involvement in our event.
